good amount of light August 16, 2010 John W. Wagonis (Tampa, Florida) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Thus far product working very well. Picks up on motion fine. Throws decent light for a small area. Not meant to light up the back yard. Basically just gives you enough light to see where you are walking. Needs 3 D batteries. No idea how long they will last. Mine are outside, and the sun will bake them in the day. Pretty sure I will be going through some batteries. A good solid casing and feel to the light. For the price, a decent product.
Was easy to mount, two switches on the inside for 30 second or 2 minute operation, and then low or high light output. The light is worth purchasing. Stock up on D batteries.
motionlight August 5, 2010 lee Mr Beams Outdoor SpotlightMotion detector spotlight. Bought four. So far installed two. In effort to discourage dogs coming on and dirtying front lawn. Those two are working fine, but must have all other outside lighting turned off for total darkness. Offer two choices of "time on" and beam power. So far seems like a good product even though made in China.
Mr Beam Outdoor Spotlight July 11, 2010 Dauna Williams 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I order two outdoor spotlights for my backyard aboveground pool and patio area. I am very pleased with the product because it was less expensive than hiring an electrician since I will mainly use the product for the summer. To my surprise the batteries in the spotlights are still working since I purchased the product over a month ago. You may ask why that is a big deal. It's because I live in Arizona where the temperature outside, during the summer, reach well over 100+ degrees. I am very satisfied with Mr. Beam outdoor spotlights.
Perfect for a dark stairwell January 25, 2010 Mark Risher 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Many battery-powered floodlights are merely symbolic -- you can tell they're on only if you look right at them -- but this product is different. It's bright enough to clearly illuminate an unlighted stairwell or a walk-in closet. The brightness is comparable to a big, MagLite flashlight, i.e. painful to look at and more than adequate to find a key, avoid tripping, or even read a newspaper (if that's the sort of thing you wish you could do at the bottom of a dark stairwell). This is no "night light"; it's a true floodlight.
I've experienced no problems with the light or the motion sensitivity, and overall found product a great solution to lighting the way at night -- indoor or out -- without the expense of running electricity or fumbling for the lightswitch.
